GI Blues Song Chapter 19

Daylene and Jason near their one month anniversary. Yet, she doesn’t feel that newlywed bliss that she hears so much about. He is still very nice to her and treats her like a queen. For whatever reason she feels unhappy. I know I love him she thinks to herself as she gets ready for the night. She never told Jason about the trip to the clinic and she she feels a little guilty about that. They have not made love in 2 weeks; she shies away from his advances. She finishes up and heads out to the stage. Jason is not there. He was always there ever since they met. For once she actually felt happy. She flirted with the customers a little more. The show wraps up about 2 am and she heads home. Jason is waiting for her. He is sitting at the kitchen table.

“Hey hon, I missed ya tonight.” She says to him. He doesn’t look at her.

“Sit.” He sips some coffee and then says,” I want the truth from ya. I don’t want to hear I don’t know either I am about half sick of that answer. What the hell is wrong with you lately? We haven’t had sex in weeks and you don’t even seem like yourself.”

She knows she has to tell him what has been going on with her. He is already mad so what is the difference? “I think I made a mistake,” she says.

“Okay what is it?” he growls.

“I, uhhh you know after we got married and we had sex and then next day your mom was suppused to take us out to eat and I went out to do some errands. Well I went to the clinic and I got that pill that ya take right after having sex so ya don’t get pregnant. I took the pill.”

“Why didn’t you tell me. I am your god-damn husband. You know I was with ya about the kid thing. I was just caught up in the moment that night. Dammit Daylene.” he throws his mug at the front door and it shatters on impact. Daylene shudders in her chair.

He stands up and turns away from her. She gets up and lightly touches him on the shoulder. “Look, Jason. I am so sorry. I didn’t want to hurt ya. I love ya so much. Please forgive me.”

He whips around and grabs her arms, ” You always be straight with me. We’re a team, we’re in this together.” Then he pushes her against the counter and kisses her neck. He presses his body closer to hers. She wants him more at this moment then she ever has.

She pulls out his shirt and he rips off hers. He pulls her to the floor and takes her panst off and undoes his. She pulls him in closer to her. The mouths are everywhere on each other’s bodies. She feels the heat from his body and quivers with his thrust. She grabs him and draws him in her deeper. He finishes and kisses her on the lips.

He is still breathing heavy, ” I know this ain’t easy it never will be but not sayin anythin to me will make it harder. Promise me Day you won’t do it again. ”

“I promise.” He envelopes her into his sweaty, warm body. Whatever happened in that moment, made her realize that she did make the right choice about marrying him. She never wants this moment to end.
