Reflections on GI Blues Song

Well the story is done. I feel real good about finishing it. It took me almost a year. At this moment, I do not know if I am going to edit it or not. The story frameork is there but I just don’t know. Here’s the kicker, I wrote it all on the blog so this is the only copy. And I think I will probably leave it that way. Kind of adds to it’s charm. Unless of course someone wants to buy and publish it then I will do the work.

Some people might want to know how I came up with the concept. The song that is predominant throughtout the story “At Last” by Etta James got the ball rolling. One day I really listened to the words. Then the story pretty much came together on its own. This time I loooslet planned the story out, it seemed to work better at least I knew where it would go.

Speaking of finishing, I have typed most of my poems up almost completing one of my goals. I have to work on a few and then I better get on the ball and write more. Poems are located on my writing portfolio, link is on the side.

I am working a new short story, it is a mystery. And already it is pretty long. I have never written a mystery before but it seems to be going good.
