Well hello everyone. I am very happy to report that I have completed, at least on paper, my new and exciting short story called Seaspring Briar. Basically, this is hanuted house story. The setting of the story is a house called Seaspring Briar, that sits on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Acadia, Maine.
Now I get the task of typing and the first edit. I must say, after reading the final story from start to finish, I like it. But just because I like it, does not mean others will. It is atypical from the stories I write because this story is a little gruesome and violent at times. So give me
approxmately a month and the story will posted on my writing portfolio. I will let you all know when this happens.
I have always been fascinated with the supernatural and of the like. I love horror and thriller movies and that show The Haunting that aired the Discovery network. A lot of the supernatural stuff I drew from those sources plus nightmares I used to have when I was a kid.
Well anyway, I am looking forward for people to read it when it is ready. And I really hope you do if your enjoy stories like this.
Have a great Memorial Day

Hello and Good day! This is a strange post today but I hope you find the tid bits about the lowly goldfish interesting,
We have a fish tank. Inside swimming around all day are three common gold fish, a calico goldfish, a highly agreessive algae eater and tiny frog. They are nice to look at. Well last night well maybe it was early this morning I noticed the goldfish sleeping. It seemed so bizarre to me. The four the goldfish sat motionless in the water like they were suspended forever in a clear gel, except for the occasional twitch of the tail. It was an unusual thing to see but fascinating at the same time. And I then wondered about the goldfish. And that is where we are now.
The information I have gathered on goldfish comes from this site :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldfish If anyone is interested in the whole article.
*The goldfish is a descendant of the carp. And was first domesticated in China.
*The goldfish was introduced in America about 1850 and became very popular.
*The maximum a goldfish can grow is 23 inches and 9.9 pounds but that is very rare. Most goldfish grow don’t even grow half that size.
*In the best conditions goldfish can live for 20 years. The current world record is 49. However many live for 6-8 years.
It says in the article that goldfish can distiguish between humans. Well they msut know I am the one who takes care of them because they are always at the front of the tank with their little mouths looking for food. It almost seems they are happy to see me.
Well have a good day!

Orange flames dance
then dissipate and
ashy snow falls.
she breathes the October air
of crisp leaves and of cool earth.
Mesmerizing-
she is
pulling in and out
Holding-
the glance of wondering eyes,
drifting hearts and minds.
Dancing erotically,
she whispers your name.
nights are longer and colder.
winter peers through the clouds
but she draws you in.
Her warmth will simmer to ash.
her controlled fury,
her brilliant color will fade to embers.
The warm invitations to watch
her waltz
with the brink of winter
are a dream.
Breathing slower as the log burns away.
she is the echo of the whisper of summer.
The night shreds the light of day.
comment from blogger-
hi Jen, I like the revision. I didn’t see the original under “my writings” category but then found it under your archive links for sept. 2005. I will definitely read your writing portfolio items! Glad to see you back- I missed your blog!
