Before I am Famous

This is something the boyfriend has been all for since I started monetizing my blog and something I thought would be cool but I didn’t want to leave my current blog hosting. I am thinking of getting my own domain. The domain name that I want is available and soon as some big money comes in this week I will be working on my own site.

I am pretty excited about the possibility of it all. There is another good thing about my own domain, if and when I start publishing my stories and books I will have an extra place to promote my stuff and whatever else. Maybe I could start a fan club. Nonetheless, this is a really good move for me in my money blogging life and my writing life as well. I will keep you all in the loop because you all be the first to know when my new blog is live.

Hello everyone. With the bad wind last night, all leaves blew off my neighbor’s tree except for a few strongholds. I was planning on taking a picture ( yeah right but it was the thought that counts). What is nice about my yard is I don’t have to rake leaves because we have no trees. Of course that is also the bad thing about my yard- there are no trees.

Halloween is only a few short days away and my daughter is going to be a cat. It is a cute costume complete with tail and fuzz. I picked it up at a surplus store for only $3.75. It was new just Wal-Mart’s leftovers from last year. This is great because I get to pick what she gets to be so I find the bargains but when she gets older and picks Halloween will be a lot more expensive. Unless she is creative and wants to wear bed sheet. I am not dressing up this year, I might steal her rabbit ears and wear those instead.

When I was younger, I was really fascinated with the human body, medicine and biology. I thought I would make a great doctor but reality set in and I’d realize that maybe I would make too many mistakes. So then I decided on even being a coroner, although the likelihood of making mistakes were far less, I didn’t really want to work with dead people. I settled on any type of nursing jobs.

I even went as far as looking into schools to be a LPN. The money is good and there will always be job security. It wasn’t that I wouldn’t be happy with the work it just that I more than likely would be working all the time until I landed a nice cushy job at a doctor’s office and I didn’t want to work all the time. I really applaud nurses because they really do give up so much of their time to help others.

I really do hate when I am right at times but it would have taken a miracle for Penn State to win against the Buckeyes. That is reality. Anyway the final score was 37-17 Well that makes Ohio State 8-0 for the season and The Lions are 6-3.

Lets hope next week they will move to 7-3 when they play the Purdue Boilermakers, 7-2 team. I have some great news about next week’s game. The Lion Lowdown will be a little different because I will be at the game! That is right I will be going to my first Penn State football game with my dad. Even though I went to Penn State, I never did make it to a game. So I am pretty excited!!!

For my first Penn State game, the Lions will have to sweep away Purdue right underneath Beaver Stadium. Purdue lost against the same teams as Penn State , definitely an interesting match up. Final score, I think, 24-17 Penn State. It is going to be a tough game!

Imagine walking down San Marco in the Antique district, everywhere around you are amazing shops and harmonies drifting in the ocean air. A visit to Saint Augustine, FL always immerses you in a new frame of mind but visiting Saint Augustine during Uptown Saturday Night immerses you in culture and history. This event is the last Saturday of every month and the next upcoming dates are October 27, 2007 ,November 24, 2007 and December 29, 2007. You are treated to free parking on these event nights. Plus all the shops participating in the event has an open house offering wine and refreshments.

Some of the events include: live music, meeting local artists, antiquing and really great deals. There is something that I think is a pretty cool event book signings and meeting local authors. I love talking to other authors about their work and maybe look for advice or just listen to them talk about how they got to where they are. Lets not forget Hemingway lived in Key West, so you can imagine the local authors in Florida they may be the next literary giant. I think it is pretty cool and interesting.

It’s getting cold out and Florida is a fine place to travel why not include Uptown Saturday Night and check out other St. Augustine events to round out your trip!

It is true the lawmakers in Harrisburg think it will be a super idea to install tax collection booths along parts of I-80 in Pennsylvania. The Turnpike board and others say it is good to bring in extra revenue to help with road repair. Has anyone ever driven the I-80 part in PA? Some parts are nice while others are pothole central. The same can be said about the PA turnpike. There are 2 turnpikes one is I-76/276 that runs from Philadelphia to the Ohio border and the other runs from Scranton all the way to Philadelphia,I-476, And the roads are not pristine.

I think PA gets more than enough money in from tolls. They raised the rate up and I think it is pretty expensive already. If I get on at Lake Harmony and travel to the Quakertown exit ( 45 miles on the turnpike) and it cost $2.75 that is one way. Not only that is you go to New Jersey and come back into PA you have to be $3 to come over the major bridges in Philadelphia.

Tolling a major artery in PA, though bringing in millions and millions dollars of revenue, I think driver’s become agitated with it and they might start driving on town roads to save a couple bucks. I am sure that there are other ways to increase revenue instead of tolling I-80.

The hunting season has either started for certain animals or will start in a matter of weeks. Do you have all the equipment you need? Do you need a new rifle scope ? Hello all. Tonight is the big game between Penn State and Ohio State. it is a night game so I probably won’t do the Lion Lowdown segment until late tonight or tomorrow sometime.

Anyway Claire posted a little thing on her blog and if you love word games and love feeding the hungry now you can do both. Free Rice is a website where you can go and test your vocabulary and learn some new words and for each word that you get right you donate 10 grains of rice. Caution it is highly addictive plus you get the all around feel good feeling for helping someone else out. I just wanted to mention that here.

Anyway, I have a bunch of housework to do so I must adieu. I will be back later tonight!

My grand parents have this really cuckoo clock. Perhaps it is like many others but I always loved it especially when it cuckoo ed. It had the metal strings with pine cone shaped handles and you had pull on the strings to make the clock work. It wasn’t that big of a cuckoo clock but you can hear the cuckoo loud and clear. The little bird would pop out of the door in a fury and crazily yell cuckoo. He would do how much he needed to and then he would go quiet except for the gentle ticking of the timepiece. Thinking about clocks, I decided to look at some clocks. I found this really great website just for clocks it is called 1-800-4clocks.

Since I like the quirky and strange clocks, I had to see what I could find here. I just really like this clock it is pretty artistic. This is called Seth Tomas Munich Wall Clock. Though it makes me think of something you would find in the Southwest. I have this painting in my living room with yellow being the dominant color so I would put it in my living room. The oranges and yellows add some warmth.

Well I found this little nugget that all of us bloggers would enjoy reading,Analog or Digital Clock for Your Website or Blog. In the article they about how they are developing clocks for Internet media but in the meantime they list some excellent sites where you can get clocks for your blog. Pretty cool huh?
