Hello all. I know you must think that I disappeared off the planet but I am working on something special. I will tell you more about it when everything is done with. Should be in a day or so. That also means, I don’t know when I am posting the next edition of Weekly Shorts either it is on my to-do list for writing.

Onto more of a happier note, I bought a printer yesterday. It was either spend $30 on a black ink cartridge or buy a brand new printer/scanner/copier for the same price. The best thing is both black and color ink are $15. So I chose the new printer.

We are standing in line at Wally Mart and the boyfriend asks if it comes with a USB cable. I look on the box and say no it doesn’t. He says its okay because he has extra no problem there. Of course, I don’t notice something very important that is missing.

We get home and he goes right to work on setting up the printer. Then he breaks the bad news- the printer didn’t come with a black ink cartridge. Now it is my assumption and I think most people’s that when you buy a printer it comes with both cartridges. Damn HP, you know right above the sentence where it said buy an USB cable it said buy black ink. I didn’t even notice. He pointed that to me.

Back to Wallymart and buy my ink. Come back home and joyfully the printer works and works well. The next step is formatting my story for submission to Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. To let you all know you can ready the story here and it is called “Brown Shells Holding Keys.” I am not sure how much longer the story will stay there. So read it before I delete it!
