Ever notice when the night is too quiet, the air is stiff with water and the crickets lost their voice. A night when you know there is a storm coming, as some would say the calm before the storm. Right now the window is open but doesn’t offer any reprieve from the impending rain. It will rain but when. If you go out side to take some air and you listen real close you begin to hear what you believe is a refreshing breeze milking the treetops, the sound moves closer and soon fat raindrops as big and ploppy as large pollen sucking honeybees nail into the road. Nano seconds later the rain pelts your house, the wind picks up, white lightening electrifies the horizon and the sky growls. A sort of refreshing scene tucked behind closed doors but at the same time the humidity grows more stagnate.
Well folks, I am taking a mini break from blogging and writing from now until sometime in the infant hours of Sunday or later. My head is too cluttered to think straight. I will be going away tomorrow or today I should say I guess when ever you read this. When I come back and before I write anymore I have to clean the house, not every day tidying up, real cleaning, it helps clear my head.
Have a great weekend!

Hello all, a few days ago I posted the next edition of Weekly Shorts, How Happy Apple Wasn’t Made Into a Pie Quite a long title but it was the best I could come up with. Yes, I know a lame excuse. This is supposed to be a comedy fantasy. I don’t if you will find it funny. Comedy is hard for me so I chose the route of describing unsual chracters with all their flaws. Final word count 1095.
Next will be a magic realism story, then mystery/thriller/suspence. I just have to figure out what magic realism is. I did some reading last night and I have a slightly better idea but I am going to work on it some more. I think the Harry Potter series could be considered magic realism if so then I have a much better idea of the genre. That reminds I have still yet to read the very last Harry Potter book. It came out last year right around my birthday maybe I will get it for this coming birthday.
Weekly Shorts needs you!! Weekly Shorts is an idea I devised to help challenge myself in new writing directions, to look for my voice and my place of belonging among the literary. Here it is an a nutshell… leave a comment at Weekly Shorts with a name, gender (human or not), and genre in which you like to read. Then I will write a 1000 word or so story and post here and when I do so you will recieve a link back to you. I am asking for nothing in return you don’t have to write about Weekly Shorts or the story, hell you don’t even have to come back and read it if you don’t want to. I am really doing this to be a better writer and it is more interesting when the challenges come from someone else because they are challenging. Come on if I did it myself I would make it easy. Why not join in the fun today and see what we can create together.
Looking forward to seeing your ideas!

If you are in the above category or an HR executive for a health care delivery system then you would be interested in knowing about this survey where you could win an iPod Nano. It is important that you work in the above mentioned field. Once you complete the survey you will be asked for and email address and contact information and then they will randomly choose a winner. The survery is sponsored by Development Dimensions International and they are looking to increase responces. It is not to take too much of your time, so you can do it over lunch. To take the survey, click here.
I wish I could take the survey not just for the chance to win the iPod but I just like taking surverys.

I really don’t hate reading, just hate reading a good book. There are times I can read a whole novel in one sitting, granted this has to be a novel that tops off around 200 pages. Then when you find a very long novel that has your attention. You will find any amount of time just to read a few pages. As you know I am reading Black House. Ugh, I have to know what happens. Those few minutes eating cereal and drinking coffee reading, I take the book to the bathroom just to squeeze in a few more pages. Lately I have been carrying the book around. I know nutty. And that is what I hate about reading because I want to read the story, I don’t want to do anything else. I’m glad I don’t ride the bus or trains because I would miss my stop.
This is what I would like to accomplish. I want to write a story that you want take to the bathroom because you just want to keep reading. I want to write a story that leaves an impression on you. Of course to do this I must write the novel first, it is on my to do list. I do like writing short stories because I feel I did my job if I knock you out with one or two punches. I don’t think I am ready for a novel, no yet but soon. I keep forgetting I am only 27, some days I feel a lot older or time is not on my side. I am only 27 and if I live to 90 I have 63 more years to go to fulfill my dreams. Grandma Moses became famous at an old age. I am missing something and that is preventing me from starting it or whatever. I have a feeling though when it happens, it will happen quick.

When I was younger, I always wanted to live in New York City. I guess many people do, my cousin told me she would move with me. I will always love New York City but I don’t think I want to live there full time, even when I become famous. If you are looking to acquire Manhattan real estate then you might want to check out Prudential Douglas Elliman real estate. They also handle properties in all 5 boroughs, Long Island and the Hamptons. Also you can browse through vacation properties in Florida and abroad. This is a great time to buy!

Anyone watch that show Shark on CBS? I try to catch when the tv is not invaded by cartoon characters. It is an interesting concept former defense attorney turns works with District Attorney’s office to bring down the bad guys.
This may be a fictional show but people get in trouble all the time. If they didn’t, we wouldn’t have a need for the justice system. If you find yourself on the wrong side of the law, you will need a defense attorney to protect your rights. Kestenbaum, Eisner & Gorrin are Criminal Attorneys Los Angeles | Southern California DUI, Felony, Misdemeanor Lawyers. Check them out if you need a lawyer.

The boyfriend’s brother and I were talking about the citizenship test and how most Americans can not pass the test. I told him that I could. Really I think that all Americans should score 80% or better on the test. If not what does that say about our civic pride and our education system? Well I googled citizenship test and I found a sample test on MSNBC.
Good news, out of 20 questions asked I got one wrong. I scored 95%. The questions are mulitple choice. One question I just guessed because it was about the form for naturalization, I got this one right. The one I got wrong I believe is a trick question. The question was “who can declare war?” congress, the president and some other choices. I chose the president. Wrong it is congress but if I am not mistaken then president can declare war in but must get congressional approval with 48 hours or something. Maybe I am wrong maybe the president can only send troops in. Technicalities of wording but if you live in a foreign country and you see the American army coming and there hasn’t been a natural disaster and there is no war going on what would you think?
I am almost positve President Bush declared war on Iraq before congress approved it. Though shock and awe happened a few years ago, I might have to research on that because the details are fuzzy.
On the flipside I know my constitution. I am a firm believer in the consitution and I used to read it over and over. I believe in the freedoms it grants and I believe in the words. Want to take the test you can find it here and by the way you, if you made it this far you should at least have one answer right because I gave it to you.
Take the quiz just to see how much you know, just think the people that take this want to be American for those that are American we should be lucky of our birthright.

If you had to deal with credit reporting before you know who Experian is, a major credit reporting agency and I have talked about Lifelock before. For those who forget lifelock is a service that puts fraud alerts on your crdit and opt you of pre approved credit cards. This helps prevent identity theft. Of course while watching this video I learned what else Lifelock does. They watchdog the web and see if your information is being used, if something does happen Lifelock has a 1 million dollar guaruntee.
So what is this guarantee? Do I get a million bucks? No, because if people were to get a 1 million bucks I am sure their would be people out there who will try to fraud the company. What is they pay for all expenses and loss up to a million dollars. Expenses for cleaning the problem up if your identity is stolen. From what I have seen on the web this can be very costly and time consuming. Lifelock does the work for you. And guess what it only costs $10 per month. That is one of hell of a bargain if you ask me.
Back to the lawsuit, Experian is suing Lifelock under allegations of false advertising and other things that really mean Lifelock is lying. What is strange is the lawsuit is brought my Experian and not the customers of the service. A company that made millions in dollars in profit from buying and selling consumer information, suing a company looking to help keep your personal information private. Makes one think doesn’t it? What is the true motivation behind the lawsuit?
