Before I am Famous

Hello all, a few days ago I posted the next edition of Weekly Shorts, How Happy Apple Wasn’t Made Into a Pie Quite a long title but it was the best I could come up with. Yes, I know a lame excuse. This is supposed to be a comedy fantasy. I don’t if you will find it funny. Comedy is hard for me so I chose the route of describing unsual chracters with all their flaws. Final word count 1095.

Next will be a magic realism story, then mystery/thriller/suspence. I just have to figure out what magic realism is. I did some reading last night and I have a slightly better idea but I am going to work on it some more. I think the Harry Potter series could be considered magic realism if so then I have a much better idea of the genre. That reminds I have still yet to read the very last Harry Potter book. It came out last year right around my birthday maybe I will get it for this coming birthday.

Weekly Shorts needs you!! Weekly Shorts is an idea I devised to help challenge myself in new writing directions, to look for my voice and my place of belonging among the literary. Here it is an a nutshell… leave a comment at Weekly Shorts with a name, gender (human or not), and genre in which you like to read. Then I will write a 1000 word or so story and post here and when I do so you will recieve a link back to you. I am asking for nothing in return you don’t have to write about Weekly Shorts or the story, hell you don’t even have to come back and read it if you don’t want to. I am really doing this to be a better writer and it is more interesting when the challenges come from someone else because they are challenging. Come on if I did it myself I would make it easy.
