unbefitting for July
olive dreams carry sunsweet raspberries to the shadow

cowering in sun dusk
melted steel
lacing through
corridors.

Images slow to recover
from haze sent by reprimands

Damned is the day
that doesn’t hold its end of the
bargain of pleasantness
and

Damned is the day
that is today.
