Independence Day

Posted on | July 5, 2008 | 4 Comments

Rock n roll carried on humid breezes
charcoal blazes atmosphere
hearty drunk laughter
spilt beer
ants swimming in Pepsi.

Get out the Harleys.
And classic Chevy’s
freshly washed and waxed
take a ride
with the windows down
turn the dial to classic rock

Remember when the music was new
and hearts were wild?

Night curtains the day of picnic
when the first star is seen
shoot fireworks made in China.
