Help Holly
Posted on | July 11, 2008 |
So who is Holly and why should we help her? Holly is a woman who has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Holly also is a working woman but still falls under the poverty line she has no health insurance because she can’t afford it and in most states you can’t even recieve government insurance because you are working even though you are below the poverty line. To me that doesn’t make any sense but that is another topic all together. Now that she has cancer there is no chance she could even get health insurance.
Holly will be going through surgeries and chemotherapy and she plans on working. I have never had chemo or known someone who has but I have learned some about it and I don’t know how she can do it. Oh yes she needs money because she is part of the working poor. I can relate to that because I have the same status and I have no health insurance. One day that could be me ( I hope not but you never know not with 3 grandparents who had died of cancer) what would I do then? I don’t know, I hope someone helps me out when I really do need the help.
I read her story and something just stirred me to write about this. So I clicked the donation page and I hit the donate button. I paid through pay pal.
Sometimes I am at a loss for words for people who have cancer, I never know what to say most of the time I say nothing. It doesn’t mean that I don’t care, I do.
