The Days of Cute Baby Clothes Are Over

Call me nostalgic but I liked when Sunshine were those cute litte baby outfits. It didn’t matter what she wore she looked cute. She still looks cute but she doesn’t qualify as a baby or a toddler anymore, she wears a 5-6 in little girls clothes. I love looking at the baby picutres though. I guess it is a mom thing, I wish she could have stayed a baby longer because she is growing up so fast. It was so easy to keep her safe when she wasn’t mobile. Now you turn your back and she could trip over something. Next year will be school, I know I am going to miss her a lot because almost everyday of her life her and I were together.

My mom gave me and the boyfriend a baby shower and we recieved loads of baby stuff. We packed everything in the station wagon we were driving at the time and came back home. I spent the next few months before Sunshine came just staring and folding and refolding the baby clothes. They were so small and cute. I picked out two outfits to bring her home in. I decided to bring her home in a little onesie that said “daddy’s girl” on it. It was a 0-3 months but before she even hit 3 months of age she was wearing a 3-6 months because her long legs.

Yes, she was born bigger than other babies at 8 pounds and 12 ounces and 21 inches long and she really went through the clothes. I receieved a Wal-Mart gift card for Christmas, Sunshine was 6 months old. I took the card and bought a convertible car seat because she was too young to be forward facing and she was too big for the infant carrier. Last Christmas my parents bought her a booster seat because she outgrew the car seat. The one good thing is now at 43.5 inches she can ride most rides at the amusement park.

I look at her little clothes and can’t believe she was that small. I miss her being such a little baby that I would perch her on my chest and she would take a nap. I don’t plan on having another baby, I’ve got my memories and I’ve got a great kid.
