The Romance of a Grandfather Clock

It must be the deep chimes or the overpowering presence of grandfather clocks that writers just love them. If you think about they do more than just keep time, it is probably is a symbol of presence of something. I, myself, never owned a grandfather clock but I always wanted one.

If I were to buy one, I would check into 1-800-4CLOCKS.COMThis the one I would choose:
isn’t this nice? This is a Howard Miller Stewart Grandfather Clock. And if I would have a grandfather clock I would put it in the den only because there is room in there as opposed to the living room where it is packed with furniture on the perimeter.

I checked into their blog, grandfatherclocksblog.com for more information about the grandfather clock. I found this interesting post called, Grandfather Clocks: Never out of Style. I believe this to be true because you can buy a grandfather clock today and your great grand children would be fighting for it. It goes back to the beginning when a Grandfather clock keeps more than physical time. One look at any grandfather clock and you could be transformed to place long ago.Perhaps a grandfather clock is a time machine in every sense of the word.
