Before I am Famous

literature is something we infer after the story is told

100 Years from Now

Come by the river
where the grassy pillows await
your head,
skies a lit in propane blue.
Empty sky
mirror reflection of the sullen pool
swelling by smooth rocks

a hundred years from now
when blissful days in snow
are a memory created from words,
no anticipation of the gentle snowflake
to drop from the sky.
THE WORLD IN DARKNESS WHILE WEARING SHORTS.

No time to rewind
dirt and smog clogged in gears
of motion of revolution to make things better
to make it worse for tomorrow.

Remember the river
looking up and seeing
tomorrow’s future dusted over.
