Midnight Shadows

Stars apparent shining dark skies
cloaked secrets in midnight blue
mysterious shadows like venomous illusions
thick shadows folding lucid dreams
million cricket chirps, stillborn stars

the serenely silent sanctuary beckons
Succulent kisses, mysterious smudged eyes.
tangled hair entwines enfolding arms
sleepy abyss of confounding dreams

silent, unwieldy, deep shadows night

distraught nightmares child snuggly daddy
dark world disappears peaceful rest

Exquisite Corpse is hosted by Before I am Famous.

This definitely makes you feel like you are out on the streets during a midnight walk in the city. Perhaps it is a child in the throes of a nightmare being cradled in her fathers arms.

Very well done this week. I have written down the guideline’s for the next Exquisite Corpse and will be participating for sure on that one. I had hoped to participate this week but car repairs have kept me at bay from doing many things this week.

Wow, I am thrilled, thanks for including my decidedly non-poetic offering. I love how it all came out. VERY nice. I am really learning to love being included.

    Again, THANKS

This was my first time participating and I love it! It’s great to see “my” line in the poem. You put it all together beautifully. I’ve posted it on my blog. Thanks!
