Afterthoughts on Man Unearths Mummy in Backyard

Posted on | September 21, 2008 |

Hello all a few days ago I posted the last edition of Weekly Shorts Man Unearths Mummy in Backyard. This is a fictional news story. All you have to read is the first couple of paragraphs and you too will know why I don’t have a passion for writing journalism. I have style that is on speed and very clipped. I guess it would be good enough to read if someone threw the paper away and you took a quick look while tying your shoe. News is a lot more fun when you make it up. Anyone who is a reporter my hats off to you it takes talent to write a compelling news story. Final word 523.

Gosh I though the story was going to be about 600 words long. Again the style of writing demands quickness. What is coming up tonight? A mythology story, then following are fiction, thriller/mysteries, fantasy and comedy. If you comment with an idea you are looking about 6-7 weeks before I work on your story. Who knows maybe I will be showered with the writing bug and I will a couple at a time. I have done it before but then again at the time, I had one blog and I wasn’t using my creative juices anywhere else. I am trying very hard to write a story a week.

On another side note as soon as I post the next Weekly Shorts story, I will post the concluding chapter of Firefly the following night. Great stuff to look forward to.

Have a wonderful day
