And the Snow Falls
Posted on | October 27, 2008 | 2 Comments
Naked trees
shiver in the cold.
False smiles inside
time slows
And the snow falls.
The river exhales
forcing fish to the ocean
down, down they go
And the snow falls.
Hollow chords from
guitars and pianos reverberate
empty halls into the night of
a million stars.
And the snow falls.
As in the arctic
where the sun is too cold
to stay and play
days are dark
And the snow falls.
On dreams, through my darkest days
who was I then?
to cover, to prepare for the birth of spring
the pregnant winter…
And the snow falls.
