~The contest will start today 6/29/08 and end on 7/29/08
~ Winners will be announced on this blog on 7/30/08
~ Winners for each prize will be picked at random using random.org (screenshots will be available)

The Prizes
~ First place is 1000 entrecard credits
~ Second place is 750 entrecard credits
~ Third place is 500 entrecard credits

How to Enter
~ Visit the story page and select a story (there are almost 50 stories, please scroll down the list to find something you like)
~After choosing a story write a post, linking to the story. Tell me what you think. If you think it sucks tell me so.
~Come back to this blog and comment on any post with the url for post entry.
~ For every post you write, you will receive one entry.There is no limit on how many times you want to enter.

Hello all, I thought I would pass this on to the people who use Entrecard. David at Poetry 2.0 is holding a little contest for 300 entrecard credits. Just think what you can do with them. Hey you can advertise on my site but I am cheap. I know people love winning money. While I was reading blogs, I came upon Life and Me a nice little blog that talks about all things in Jade’s life and the things she finds interesting. It is a good read especially if you like bloggers that talk about beauty and little facts about her. Anyway she is nearing post 100, how great is that? Congrats by the way.

Hello all, I just found about this short contest the other day but if you have the time or something ready you might be interested in this. Th contest does end on May 31, 2008 that gives you ten days. Prizes include cash and publishing packages. Wordclay is a self-publisher for those who don’t know. For those who are lucky enough to make it to the top 15 your story will be published in volume 2 of Wordclay Anthology of Best of Modern Voices even that is a great prize.

For just the short story contest the word limit is 5000 words. For the short story anthology contest the word limit is a combined total of 15,000 words. It is free to enter and you don’t have to join the Wordclay community to submit. I may not enter this contest but I think I will join the community and see how it goes. I don’t know maybe I have a story in the Weekly Shorts archive  that is worthy to be sent. I do have ten days and I can  do a lot in ten days if I put my mind to something!

Hello all, Well here it is the official rules and prize page for Celebrating Post 1000. This is a very big accomplishment and I want to share it with everyone! The winners will be announced on Post 1000 which should happen in about two weeks depending how much I write between now and then.

Today’s date is May 16, 2008 2:00 am EDT and the contest begins now. In effort to have all the entires accounted for the contest will end May 23, 2008 12:00 am EDT. I will use random drawing to award three prizes, description of prizes will follow.

Remember about a month or so ago, I wrote about the Renzuit Tri-Scent Home makeover contest where one person can win a $20,000 home make over with Tanya Memme. Well the contest is in full swing and many people had sent in their entries. The top ten semi-finalists have been chosen. Now it is time for the voting to begin. I dream about this all the time especially if I become a mega success as a writer and that is a home make over. Sure, my place is nice but there is so much work too be done. If I could my house would never the be the same again.  Renuzit TriScents is holding a contest where the grand prize is a $20,000 makeover. Now if I won this, I would put in a new roof, new siding, kitchen remodeled with a dishwasher, a remodeled bathroom new floors, and some new paint on the walls. Nonetheless, this would be an awesome contest to win.

Okay everyone, I just want to make sure that anyone who is interested in Bebo Author’s short story contest will be ending in about three weeks.  The reason I mention this is because we all need the time to compose or rework our masterpiece. In fact I started working on mine last night. I am tres excited about it. This is one that is brand spanking new. Hopefully, I keep my words to medium level. I am really trying not surpass 4000 words but I do think that might be a little much. And guess what it is a mystery story!! So wish me luck. I know there are couple of other people that are entering so why not give yourself a shot!

The prizes are amazing such as web hosting plus wordpress blog for one year, gift certificates and a bunch of other stuff. I don’t want to hear that you don’t know how to write, that is baloney. If your a blogger your a writer and why not jump from blog writing to fiction writing. The step isn’t that big, plus look to your life and find inspiration.
