Right now I don’t have either but that is besides the point. If I were to choose it would be DirecTV and I will tell you why it is all about price. We don’t watch a lot of television. I normally watch PBS and CBS both of which come in fine with the rabbit Anyway we had basic cable (13 channels) from Adelphia (and yes I am naming names) at a price of around $30 a month. For what I have no idea, 13 channels.
I have looked into satellite tv and some of the plans are so cheap. You get more channels for less money. I could even add the locals (which I need because I can’t live with out CSI or Young and the Restless) for an extra $5.00 and still pay either the same price or a little cheaper.
We had Direct TV before and I was pretty pleased with the service, it rarely went out. Now I don’t need nor want all the movie channels and all that jazz like some do. Like I said we are not tv people and I don’t want Sunshine to be a tv hound either. I never was a tv person, that would be my brother. I prefer reading better. If I did decide to have more channels than two than DirectTV is probably the way I will go!

For some women who are my age, you already know how this is. For the younger generation NKOTB stands for New Kids on the Block. I have seen the rumors around the web and on tv that they are making a come back. I thought it sounded silly because they have been out of the spotlight for more then 10 years.
Then last night I was “listening to open house party” on the local radio station. And much to my ear’s delight they played the new New Kids song. What was odd the song was something about remembering the good old days. They were so singing that to me and every girl who thought they were hot. I don’t care they still sound good, better than 98 degrees or the Backstreet Boys. Maybe they got a lot better with age plus the song sounded better than “hangin tough”
They were older than me when they were on the scene. I was probably 10 or 11 when they were big. So now I am 27 they must be getting close to 40 or so. Damn I am getting old, they don’t seem that much older than me!
Have a nice day!

Do you ever notice when know the background on someone that you appreciate their work more. Take for instance musicians. You watch Behind the Music on VH1 or watch other biography programs or just read about someone on the internet. For as long as I have been alive Cher has always been some where in the light. She is cultural icon because she has done so much more than singing, she has acted in television shows and movies. Personally I like the movie Mermaids she was in.
Cher ( real name is Cherilyn, isn’t that a great name) started performing under her given name and her future husband Sonny Bono produced the records. So starts a career in the 50’s and continuing through today. She has unmistakable look and sound that when a song of hers comes on the radio, you automatically know who is singing. Some of my favorite songs are “If I could Turn Back Time” and “I’ve Got You Babe” there are probably others but I don’t know the titles of the songs.
Well for a woman who is an mistakable cultural icon she is coming to Caeser’s Palace in none other steamy and sexy Las Vegas. Cher is replacing Celine Dion who was to perform. Cher Las Vegas starts at the beginning of May and the concert will be at the Colosseum at Caeser’s Palace in Vegas. Really, I think Cher and Vegas go hand in hand.

While I was reading AlyCat’s blog post Movies You Watched Over and Over it had me think about what movies I watched over and over. Now for the kiddies who are their early 20’s you might want to ask someone what a Beta machine is because that is how I saw most of movies. We had a huge collection of movies taped on Beta tapes. We had all of Star Wars and various other movies.
The movies I remember watching more than once were : Nightmare on Elm Street 1,2, and 3, these will always be my favorite horror movies of all time and I really watched them all the time. Ghostbusters and Top Gun. Don’t get me wrong I liked these movies but my brother watched them constantly so I watched them too. Okay, Tom Cruise is a hotty so that should be good enough reason to watch. The last movie that I could think off of the top of my head would be 3 Men and a Baby. I don’t know, I always liked this movie because it made me laugh.
What did you watch when you were younger?

The previous movie was the first to be made public via the interent however not the first movie I made. I really have no idea why teachers want you to make a movie. Of course, I am not a actress either. Cameras either video or still make feel uncomfortable and I hate my picture being taken. I don’t know what it is but when I make a movie there is always something wacky about it.
When my family and I went to Universal Studios they had this thing where you can pick a scene from a movie and you can star in it. Well my dad, brother and I picked “Star Trek” and I got to be Spock. For some wacky reason, I lost my ear and I don’t know I look really stupid. I believe my mom has the video yet.
In eleventh grade I had to make 2 movies. The one for English was decent because I was the head writer and my part on the movie lasted maybe 2 minutes only because I was the other girl. The one for history not so good. My partner for whatever reason decided to bail on me and then I was left to make the movie myself. The project was about coal. It turned out awful. She was the artist and when she bailed my brother and I drew the pictures. My brother could draw but as you well know I might as well quit well before the pencil lands to the paper. He helped me film it but it was bad and stupid.
Senior year wasn’t better. Somehow I get stuck in a group in health that wants to make a movie for the project. I already know how this is going. I played the mom in that one and my part lasted a minute or so. We did a thing on drug addiction. I took some soda cans and covered the labels and then drove my car to the park down the road from my parents. The lead girl got in the car and laid her head on the horn. Of course, the blaring of the horn caused all the nosy neighbors to watch. And because we didn’t get it right the first time we had to do it a few times. I bet you can imagine how annoying that would have been.
One last adventure in film. In my sophmore year of college, I participated in the talent show only to fill time. I performed a monologue called “The Last Cigarette” I can’t remember who wrote it but I love it. I am standing on stage and the dean of the campus is the front row. I am going along with the monologue and I take my cigarette and light it, by accident. I practised and practised about the fake lighting. I don’t know maybe it was nerves but I really lit it. While trying to stay in character I snuff out the smoke. I didn’t laugh nor did the dean however he winked and smiled a little. Afterwards, this was the highlight of the show and of course caught on tape.
I am really glad you tube was not around during these times or I would be called the “self-imposed jack ass of the internet”. I think I will stick behind the camera. The world is a much better place if I do.

Typically, I don’t like talking about celebrity types especially of Brittany Spears. I don’t find it interesting. What I do find interesting is the people’s obsession with Brittany. It seems like every other day Brittany is on the news about this or that. Again, I don’t care.
I understand that the papparazzi love Brittany because incriminating pictures of her bring in the money. I also understand that when someone is famous they lose any privacy. My question is why do they chase after her when there are so many others to hound down?
It is rumoured that the pappa. chased Princess Diana down and that is one reason why she was killed (I don’t know if this is true or not). And with Brittany, she needs to be out of the spotlight and reaffirm herself as to whom she is. I know sometimes she brings it on herself. Just a guess but if the papparazzi left her alone more she might not act as nutty as she does. Of course, this is only my opinion though.
I remember when Brittany came on the scene. I couldn’t stand her music but the people loved her. Now, I feel bad for her. Her life is in complete chaos a point being constantly dragged through popular media. I don’t know what her state of mind is but it can’t be all that good. I know if my dirty laundry was constantly shown in the news and constantly flashed before me, I would not be in good shape mentally.
I think if Brittany was left alone for awhile she could turn her life around. She is pretty young yet and it seems like if she continues on this path, her life will not get any better.
Have a nice day!

I must say Johnny Depp has come a long way but I think his niche are men a little off balanced. It is a great thing to tell you, that Johnny Depp is starring a new a movie, Sweeny Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This is pretty cool and I think he is perfect for the part of Sweeny Todd. For those who have never seen the hit Broadway musical, Sweeny Todd is a story of revenge, plain and simple sweet revenge. Visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site for more information.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Have you ever committed revenge on someone, have the insane urge to confess your deepest darkest secrets, then confess to the demon barber . It is cathartic. I will tell you my story… Is it diabolical, is it revengeful? That is for you to decide.
I think everyone can agree that little brothers are the most annoying creatures on the planet. My brother is no different. He used to drive me crazy and my step sisters as well. This one day during summer vacation, he was getting under our skin, constantly nagging us and threatening on tattling on something or another. We concocted the perfect plan. We stuffed my brother in the computer room and shut the door. We took a piece of rope tying one end to the door knob. Then we pulled the rope tight and went out the back door and tied the other end to the chain link fence. He tried to get out but he couldn’t. Too bad for us, he had a phone in their and called my mom. She made us release him. I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
Still craving more stuff about Sweeny Todd then visit Sweeny Todd on Myspace . I checked out the movie trailer and I am excited to see this movie. It looks like it be just as good as Sleepy Hollow. If you haven’t seen the trailer, you can view it at the official Sweeney Todd movie site This movie is set to release Christmas Day.

I missed most of the one today but I watched it all last year. And if I could go to any Oprah show ( excluding the one I would go to when I am a best selling author) would be the Favorite Things Show. How lucky are those people to receive all those things and some of them are pretty expensive items as well. Yeah sure they are great gifts but I think a lot of them are overpriced. I would never be able to afford some of the favorite things she has.
In a way, I wish she would do favorite things the poor man’s version. Now that would be an interesting show! All of the gift have to be under $50, now wouldn’t that be a show you would want to see. Of course, I think the price could be lower but there are some people who can afford $50 a gift not a $100.
Just my thoughts since those holidays are around the corner.

I am sure some of you have heard about The Mist a horror movie based on a Stephen King short story. I remember reading The Mist but I can think of what it book it came from. I know bad Stephen King fan. I think the reason I remember reading the story because it was creepy as hell. I have read almost everything Stphen King has written ( he is my idol) and when I can remember a lot of the detail about a story it must have made a huge impression on me. I am really excited about the movie, sometimes the movie is almost as good as the book. I have seen the movie trailers and it looks like how it did in my imagination when I read the The Mist by Stephen King .
I really don’t think I could choose my favorite Stephen King novel or movie because I really do love everything I read or seen. Typically, when a new Stephen King movie comes out I try to run out and buy as soon as possible. I do like the how Stephen King appears in some of his movies just Alfred Hitchcock, another one of my favorites.
Have you seen the trailer? You should give it a whirl, might give you a good idea for the weekend of November 21,2007. The Mist- Movie has the trailer plus lost of extras about the movie. I am really excited about the movie and I personally can’t wait to see for myself. I really liked the story so I hope the movie is just as good.
Have a nice day!
