Before I am Famous

The latest edition of Exquisite Corpse is running and it was a challenge I enjoyed immensely. The poem is called Midnight Shadows. I am assuming night was a very good theme to choose.

In the spirit of Exquisite Corpse, of letting your creativity flow and find words and phrases in yourself that you never you knew you had I shaking the coconut tree a little bit! Oh how exciting!!

Since sadly summer will soon be a memory this weeks theme is :

END OF SUMMER

And the line rule is :
HAIKU

A whole haiku. For those who can’t remember a haiku in English is 3 lines in this syllable pattern 5-7-5. I will combine the haikus and make a longer poem. Since a haiku is three lines you will get a link in each line.  The submission period ends on August 28, 2008 and the poem will be published on August 29, 2008. I will not edit your work so if you want punctuation or whatever it is your piece of the poem.

Hi Folks, your friendly neighborhood poet reminding you that I am still seeking submissions for the next edition of Exquisite Corpse!

I know you are shaking in your boots because you are not a poet and your line will sound like something that came out of a dog’s rear end. Not true! Just follow the line parameter and your line will be “exquisite”. You will see when you combine your line with other people what a wonderful thing can be created. I believe in you and I know you can do it.

Hey everyone! I just posted the long awaited, new Exquisite Corpse poem, The Desperate Need to be Gone Check it out. I would like to share a few thoughts about this one poem. Someone was very inspired and wrote a bunch of lines, very awesome. Anyway I did something a little different and I moved the lines around to make a decent sounding poem. I didn’t alter the line at all just compiled the lines a little differently. I think I should do this more often. I do not add or delete punctuation on your line, I will only fix obvious spelling mistakes and typos. It is your line if you cap every word then so be it. I don’t want to hinder your creativity just encourage it!

Do to the amount of time taken by advertising for Exquisite Corpse, I have changed it to a BiWeekly publication. It is more than just time it is the lack of lines, many times only 4 people participate and myself that is 5 lines. I think that if I spend more time in a two week period advertising I may have more lines and more participation in general.

This starts this week, and it will take a day or so to change it everywhere I have it posted, but submissions for the next edition of Exquisite Corpse will end on 7/31/08 and the poem will be up 8/1/08. I think this will be a good move and allow more people to participate that couldn’t before because of the hurried time frames.

Now that I have your attention, today is Wednesday July 23, 2008 do you know what happens tomorrow? Do you? You should tomorrow we wrap up another week of Exquisite Corpse. Some come on folks join the bandwagon of fun, excitement and creative exploration.

I tried to make the lines as easy as adding 1+1, you don’t have to be Whitman, Cummings or Ginsberg, just be you and when you add your line to everyone else’s you never what beautiful thing might be created.

Hello folks well this weeks poem is up and we are having a lot of fun with this project. So rumor has it that Google should be  coming  around   soon to do page rank.
