My Life 7/2/08

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

Hello all, I first want to apologize for the missing zest in my writing lately. There is a lot of things on my mind, things that I have no control over and that is taking a huge toll on me. I know I haven’t written anything too creative lately, and Firefly is almost 3 weeks behind. Of course, these things is affecting a lot of the mundane things as well. This will pass in time, hopefully sooner than later.

I have managed to write 2 poems. One I will post later on and the other I will post as soon as I get permission for an image. Be sure to look for that sometime soon.

Only 3 people sent in a line for Exquisite Corpse I really would like to make this successful remember I dropped the linking requirement so all you have to do is send in your line and I will post this Friday. The theme is heat and the line rule is adjective, noun, noun, verb. All this will change this Friday and there will be a new theme and line rule.

Have a nice night.

Using More Ink

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

I got the new printer at the end of December and I still have yet to buy more ink for it. What does that mean? One thing could be the HP ink s great that I can print a lot before buying new ink or I am not printing enough out as far as stories as such and so I am not using it like I should. Call it procrastination or whatever. If I really wanted to be a published writer, I would print more stories out and have a need a for a company like inkers.biz

As the name implies they sell anything to do with ink and toners. The reason why their inkjet cartridges and other inventory is inexpensive is because they sell generic, but just as good and compatible as name brand inks. If something works just as good as the original and you can save money then why not purchase the generic? According to the company website, most orders are shipped the same day ordered. They ship to all of the US an Puerto Rico. If you live on the east coast expect your order to arrive in 2-3 days.

Also Inkers has a 30 day no questions asked return policy. I am sure in that amount of time, you find out if you think the product you purchased meets your standards. Check them out if you are shopping for all things ink for your home and/or office.

Lawyers Get a Bad Rap

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

I guess there are some lawyers that give all lawyers a bad name. But lawyers can also do good especially when protecting your rights or trying to bring justice to those who have been wronged. Lawyers know the law so you should trust in them unless you want to sound like a bumbling idiot such as the doofus who robbed the store with a shirt over his head. Anyway check out the link if are in need of a lawyer. Los Angeles Criminal Lawyers | California Criminal, DUI Defense

Surprise in the Mailbox

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

Well maybe not in  the  mailbox  but on the porch.   I got  a little  box from Izea for the fourth of  July.  I was  surprised  because  I don’t  normally  get packages in  the mail unless I am buying  something.  Sunshine liked to play  with some of the stuff I got.  I  also got barbecue  sauce. I  really wanted to douse my hot dogs with it  earlier but  I think I will buy a hunk of meat  and make something in the crock pot. It was  really nice of them o  send me that,  it made me feel like  they appreciate me and that  means a lot to me.

I read on their blog, that they  are nearing their 2 year anniversary. I thought they were around longer. The  end of July  I would be with them for a whole year.

This is for you guys and gals  at Izea… Thanks!!! It really  meant a lot to  me!!

Bob Vila? Not Me

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

The magic of television and experts, they all always seem to make everything easy like home improvement. Take for example Norm Abrams, he takes a peice of wood and creates something with it. If I took a piece of wood well I don’t know what would happen. This one time the boyfriend and I took this entertainment stand that was too big for our bedroom and we cut and measured and put it together and it was crooked. The bottom half was less wide than the top but it was sturdy.

Since Sunshine is getting older, I have all these plans about making her room beautiful. Things like ripping out the wall and replacing it with white paneling which then I will use a nice glossy paint finish. I figure I can more than likely do this myself right all it takes is a nail hammer and some nails and I should be set. I don’t know, I don’t see that working so well.

Maybe I should try something smaller like a book case. Of course nothing fancy like Norm Abrams but we have a lot of scrap wood. If I really took my time, I could use a circular saw and cut the wood in even peices then use a wood stainer. The only problem with that is I don’t think pappy will let me near a circular saw for fear I might cut off my fingers.

Oh well, so I don’t see a future in the home improvement business but it is sure nice to think about.

My Life 6/24/08

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

Hello all, well things are going very well as far as moving stuff from this domain to Healthy Moola. I am trying something different this time and that is move everything that i can then start adding it to blog directories and advertising it and things like that. I also have written any new posts yet. I have some ideas. When I moved this blog from blogger to here I did both and worked endlessly on this on until it was done. I am not ina big rush to get this one done. I think maybe taking my time the end esult will be much better.

As far as Champagne Dreams the subdomain is on hold right now. I am hoping there will be a sale for domain names with dot net or something and then I will buy a cheap one. For now I will leave it on blogger.
The good thing is if my server is having trouble, Champagne Dreams will still be running because I will have two sites down at the same time and that can be risky at times. However it does seem like my site goes down for no reason at all it does return in a short amount of time. So I am not losing too much. Anyway I want to get Healthy Moola up and running and new posts up before I think about moving another blog around. That would be insane of me to add something else to my plate. I already have enough!

Have a nice day

Moving

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

I hate moving but it is one of those things that are unavoidable at times. I moved a lot in my life as well. From all over PA to Delaware to NH back to PA and then all around PA. Each time I moved with my parents we rented the biggest Uhaul and took one trip. With the boyfriend, we make multiple trips except I think it is easier to use one big truck.

Movingorbit.com is place to help the occasional mover or the seasoned pro find moving van rental or moving truck rental for either interstate move or a move down the road. You can receive multiple estimates from different companies. With a new batch of college students ready for school this coming fall this might be a good site to look into.

Overactive Imagination or Something Else?

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

I love reading things about the occult, and about hauntings and such. I am a big fan of the show The Hauntingon the Discovery channel. I happened upon a blog called Strange Days, blog about everything paranormal. It made think if I had any paranormal experiences; two jumped out of me right away.

When I was about 13 years old, I lived in Delaware and my room was in the basement. I had a standard issue basement window, you know the kind that you have to pull to open it. Anyway I used to feel that someone was watching more like staring because I know when I know some one was staring. I would hide under the covers until morning. This one time, a storm moved and the basement window was open. I got that strange feeling that someone was staring even in the storm and I hid under the covers. When I awoke the next morning the window was closed. I know I didn’t close the window and someone from the outside wouldn’t close it since I had a screen in the window to keep the bugs out. And my parents wouldn’t come down because they rarely came to my room. Strange…

Later on life, before Sunshine, the boyfriend, his dad and I moved into this house that was built is 1863 in a historic town that gave a lot of govenors to the state of Pennsylvania. I don’t know if Bellefonte is known to be haunted or not but I know the house had something there. There would be times, I would be on the computer and the only one home. The cat would be in the same room as me and I heard foot steps coming up the steps. I knew it wasn’t an old house creak or anything, it really sounded like someone coming up the stairs. My heart would speed up and I would yell out into the hallway and no one would be there. There would be other times, I would be sitting downstairs and watching television and see weird lights out of the corner of my eyes sometimes a misty orange or white. It wasn’t a large amount of light enough to set the retinas off. I am not the only who seen and heard the phenomena either, the boyfriend who doesn’t believe in the supernatural seen and heard those things as well. He tried to rationalize it but gave up. These sounds and light continued off and on until me moved out.

I always wanted to know the history of the house. I just didn’t know where to start.

There are events that happen that can’t be explained, we don’t know everything. And if energy can never be destroyed and our whole being is based on energy then where does it go when we die? It has to go somewhere.

Evolution of My Style

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

I don’t really have a “style” per se. Before I was allowed to choose my own clothes, I wore whatever my mom bought for me or what I got for Christmas. Through high school it wasn’t anything special maybe a nice shirt and some blue jeans. My senior year in high school I tried the layer look and it kind of stuck with my new favorite pair of pants, Gap Khakis.

When I lost a pile of weight back in college, there was one thing I had to buy and that was a pair of Calvin Klein Jeans. I have dreamed about these jeans for so long and I was so happy when I could buy a pair and fit into them as well. I wore every chance I got. When I did lose the weight, shopping for women’s clothing was a supreme joy.

Now that I am older and never lost the baby fat from when Sunshine was born, I go shopping at some of my favorite cheap stores and I hate some of the plus sized clothes they sell for women. Some of the clothes just make you look worse or bigger than you are. When I am up at Gabriel Brothers, and I find a decent pair of jeans with the bootcut or wide leg and the price is right, I pick up a pair. A girl can never have enough jeans.

Have a nice night!

My Life 6/23/08

Published by J Scott under meaningful meanderings

Hello all, the tunderstorms have been rolling in every night the last few nights. Saturday night the power flickered and thunder resounded like explosions. Sunday a lot of horizon lightening and some thunder, rain and that was about it. Today beautiful day, sun was bright, the sky pale eyed and then just out of now where one faded gray cloud came into view. Then others followed as minutes passed the sky grew more rampaging. Now the storm is here and lightening is flashing like crazy, so much so that while I am here at the computer I can see it out of the corner of my eye.

I don’t know what is up with me lately. I feel a like writing something but I don’t feel like doing anything at all. I don’t think it is writer’s block because I have plenty of stuff to write and plenty of writing stuff to do but then I find myself doing nothing at all. It might be too much of one thing and not enough of another. Maybe I am out of balance. I should go for a run (yeah and I would probably pass out somewhere along the way). Listless that is word I am looking for.
