Before I am Famous

While reading the WOOF entries for this week, I came upon an interesting article Authentic Writing- What Does it Mean to You The post is about blogging for the sake of computers as opposed to people and the blog is a electronic form of communication. She ends the post by giving her mission statement for blogging. It made me think about why I blog and for who I blog for.

First and foremost I blog for myself as in I am one of those insane people who has to write. In 2005 when I started I found a new place of expresssion

First and closely behind myself, I blog for you. I write for you. Perhaps you will find something interesting or funny or profound but most of the time I want to entertain you.  I do love  my readers maybe I don’t show it enough but  I am trying to  be more active in the blogging community (I’mstill figuring out to do that)

Lastly, I do blog for money through sponsored posts.  To be quite frank, I do make decent amount of money and I am not rich so some of money goes to daily living costs the rest of the money pays for my domains, webhosting,  printer  ink, paper for Dragonfly Poems, advertising for Dragonfly poems and postage for  when  I  do send out stories and the DSL. I write posts to essentially fund my writing career.

Yes,   I  ramble on  about my life,  I  write articles on various topics, I write stories and poems, I just write because I have to and I want to be read.  I sincerely hope you find something  you like on any of the blogs I run because that itself makes me happy.

The poems listed on Dragonfly Poems have a mass appeal but everyone has different tastes so you may see a poem here that you love but it is not listed at the website. Hey everyone. I did write the story last, I wrote it on paper I should say but didn’t type it. Being in a particularly sour mood, I thought the story was garbage and I figured that I would have to start from the beginning. I reread it again earlier and did some basic editing. It is not as bad as I thought and later on here I will be typing like the wind.

My damn keyboard is acting up again. I drenched it with alcohol and then I popped off the letters that were giving me trouble  and used can air in and around the pads. The “a” key is  possessed. I cleaned it again and it seems okay. If I could I would buy a brand new laptop from Wal-Mart it is an Acer and it is $400, not too bad considering it is a brand new computer. I like my computer it just gets on my nerves every once and awhile.

Other than that, I’m not going to make any promises I can’t keep. Sometimes I am the most focused get so much things done person in the world and other time I am number one space cadet.

In one way I haev been feeling uninspired to write but somehow I managed to write a bunch of new things this week. I think I am uninspired about the next story for Weekly Shorts. Here it is a female main character and it is supposed to be a comedy.

I had this twisted idea but I just get the ending right. I’ve played different scenarios in my head and nothing is right, maybe I just try and think of something else that can be funny. Humor is not really my strong point because I watch a lot of comedies and I don’t want to repeat what I watched. Hmmm I will have to think on it.

Later on tonight I am going to buy business cards for Dragonfly Poetry there is a big sale at Vista Print, I have written about them before and I thought why not give them a try plus I can save a boat load of money. I would like to have some on hand in case people are interested in my business or whatever plus I can send them out when I finally sell a poem or give one away.

It feels like I am moving forward and now I am afraid of performace anxiety.  If someone orders a poem and then I can’t write it or I write it and it sucks. It takes a lot of confidence in my work and my idea to keep going. I know I can do this at least I hope so.

Do you have those urges where you want to write but have no idea what to write? I have all these ideas running in my head and not a word written on paper. It is rather bizzare since I felt like I am idealess lately. I really should be doing some housework but I know unless I start writing something that won’t get done. I writing about my dysfunction will help but it isn’t really.

Can you believe blog explosion said Dragonfly Poems wasn’t a blog? What makes no sense is when the blog was on blogger they had no problem with it and they approved it. There is really nothing different between the 2 blogs other than the new Dragonfly has more poems on it. All the other blogging networks such as entrecard, blog catalog and blog rush all approved it to be a blog. I don’t know what is up with that. I wrote them a big long email with my dismay. I hope they approve it this time since it is more of a blog than a website since I am posting on it a couple of days a week.

Hello all, I had all these plans to wake up early this morning and work or something but instead my body had other plans. I woke up with a killer migraine. I don’t even know why. I just get them sometimes and all I want to do is nap. Of course my writing is suffering as well when I can’t think straight. Already popped 4 tylenol and I could use more. Normally, I take excedrin migraine because it works the best.

I hope it goes away soon because I would like to get a lot of things accomplished tonight including a poem about Peanutbutter. That is a little teaser for you all to check out Dragonfly Poems.

Anyone ever watch Big Bang on CBS Mondays? Sheldon loves to label everything and I mean everything.  He takes labeling to a whole new level almost to an obsessive level which makes it funny.
