Before I am Famous

I have a great deal of respect for English teachers. After all it was my 6th grade English teacher that told me that I was very creative and should be a writer. There were English teachers that introduced me amazing novels. I had one in high school that just enjoyed reading my essays. I had several in college that pushed me hard and to be a better writer and reader. The one poetry professor and I constantly had arguements about my work and they weren’t very postive. Well I guess you can’t win them all. 

I was tickled when an English teacher thought my little Weekly Shorts idea was inspiring enough for her to write a story using a name and age. Gosh, I am blushing.  Her story is called Morning. Check the rest of her blog out as well because she also writes poetry check out the Cinderella poem, things from her life and sorts of other interesting tid bits.

I hope my grammar is decent just in case she comes by and reads this post!

While checking on my sparks that I am running, I came across someone knew who read on of my stories and wrote about it. Being the ham I am I went over and checked it out at Madness on Canvas. I liked what she said but since I was there anyway I looked through some of her other posts and I came across a love story.

Remember I Love You is a unusal love story where girl meets the perfect man and although he is crazy about her she does not feel the same about him until something horrible happens and then she realizes how much she did love him. This is a good story, it is sad and there is a surprise ending but love stories are to be that way. I really liked it because she told a wonderful story in a short time. Check it out, maybe she should submit it to the Plotdog.com WOOF contest! Just an idea!

When it comes to the dot com world of today people dream of styaing at home all day, watching the soaps and making gads of money by staying home and just earning money from the internet. Okay I do this but I am not making gads of money. Anyway since there are people who want to make gads of money online, there are dot coms starting up all the time promising folks they can make some money. So how do you know if something is going to work? The best way is read about what others who participated think about the site.

MoreGs is such a site, the tagline says: “more money for less qualifications, the no frills way to making money online-and offline.” And wow, this is someone who puts a lot of thought and time into their revies with screen shots and lengthy posts. There are sorts of posts related to making money online so if you are starting your quest for easy money then check out the site and see what he thinks.

If only life that easy. But it is not, though it doesn’t hurt to have some helpful hints. GossipGirl writes the Your Guide to Life She knows a lot of things especially abut cell phones. Yes there is information and most of it is important but she writes with a huge sense of humor that makes her post fun to read and you learn something. One of my favorite things she said while talking about a vaccum cleaner is that she doesn’t want to houseclean because that would mean using more electricity and bad for the environment. Hey that sounds like a good excuse for me.

And keeping with the theme of green she wrote The Car Makes the Man. No run and buy a Corvette she writes about a study where it seems women are more attracted to men who buy eco-friendly cars. So instead of the the corvette by one of those hydrogen cars and she will swoon for you ( I suppose this will work in only locales with hydrogen stations) at least a hybrid or maybe a flex fuel car.

This is a blog that people really ought to check out you probably will smile, learn something and have a overall good experience.

Call me nostalgic, call me chessy but we all admit we love the movies from the 80’s. Okay I love the movies from the 80’s might have something to do with my age ( I’ll get back to you know on that). With all the jibber jabber in mind, I found a movie review site called arundas.com (Das Boot). Here you can find moive trailers of new releases, some reviews that are non movie related and his new feature “20 Years Later- Let’s Bring it Back”

His first review was on Top Gun. I have seen this movie so many times I probably have it memorized. This is a long in depth review from basic story line to best quotes to the montage. He doesn’t like the montage (where the guys are playing volleyball with no shorts on and tight jeans) but they put that in for women ( what woman doesn’t like that scene.) I do have to agree with him on some parts the plot is pretty good but I wasn’t interested in the love story either but I am sure there was a reason for that.

I am interested in the next 80’s flick he reviews. Check it out as well if you love movies and especially movies from the 80’s.

I was looking through Social Spark and I checked on my spark that I ran and I was very pleased to have 2 people write about Weekly Shorts. The with the most interesting article was Laane on the World. I was more interested in her story about her journalism teacher and how he showed her she can write under stress. I looked the rest of her blog and she still can write under stress. She is mother of boys and girls and her 4 of her sons have different degrees of autism. She is also a writer and physcologist and she speaks Dutch ( I just bring that up because I never met anyone who was Dutch that is neither who or there).

While going through her posts just to see what she writes about which is everything. I came upon Many Years Ago My Little Daughter Died. If you don’t want to be sad this will bring tears to yours eyes because she writes from the heart. I read this and I just had to hug Sunshine because she is here and I couldn’t imagine life with out her. If you need a smile check out “Are Flip-Flops too casual?”

A great writer, someone you will want to read.

Who doesn’t want to be rich. I would even think rich people would want to increase their wealth. I happened upon a blog called Info 4 Being Rich- Tips to Make Money Online here you can find variety of posts including: upcoming movies, money information and of course money making opportunities.

After reading some of the opportunities to make money online, I fund this article to be pretty interesting Oppurtunity to Make Money with Wise Bread. From what I have read this is blog writing except you write for Wise Bread. According to the author Google Adsense is the way you make money and you are to receive 100% of the royalties. I like writing and blogging so this up my alley. I guess it is kind of like Helium. And if you don’t know what helium is then you should check it out as well.

By now I hope many of you know why I write but I was happy to read Terry’s essay called Why I Write. When I read her essay I really thought I was reading about myself. We both shared a love for Barbies and played stories with them. My best friend would tell you all over dramatic tales because we had several Barbies and two Ken dolls. We both thought the journalism was the place to be. Well it is not, though it seems like she enjoyed her classes more than I did.
She writes for the same reason I do, because we have to and it is our life blood.

To me this is important because the posts of the blog are more important to me than what stuff you have on your sidebar. It is pretty bad when you have a broadband connection and a blog still take almost 30 seconds to load. I like to point those blogs that actually want people to read them because the pages loads fast. Anyway back to Worth to Visit. This blog has been around since May of 2005.

While going through the site, I came upon a puzzle. I love puzzles I like all sorts except for maybe those logic puzzles. Anyway a puzzle for you 4 from 3 and 5 read the question and think about the answer. Or you can feel superior and have your friends solve the puzzle and you will know the answer.

While browsing the web, I cam upon this really nice site celebrating 2 years. It is great that some people stay committed to their blog. In the past years I read some great blogs, then one day no more posts in fact you never see anything new from them again. It is really too bad, life happens. Anyway back to h blog I found it is called Sugary Kisses and this is a sweet little blog filled with pictures of her little dog and stuff about her life. Definitely check her blog out for a dose of sweetness.
