The first experience I had with a digital camera was my uncle’s. It was a rather large compared to today’s cameras. But it was a lot of fun to take pictures and see them right away. I was honored when I got to use his cameras to take pictures of his wedding. I really tried to get a picture of every person in attendance. At that time, I still preferred film cameras. This is the same uncle who gave me his old Pentax K1000, a camera I loved very much. I had all these plans of learning nature and space photography.
Years later the boyfriend really wanted a camera. But we had to buy something with a parallel port because his computer was a little older and didn’t have USB. I found one at Kmart for cheap. It was a compact digital camera. It was okay , there was no flash so the best pictures were taken outdoors in sunlight. It also held only 11 pictures and there wasn’t a slot for flash memory. We took it to Maine and took some nice pictures but I still used film. When Sunshine was born, we found an incredible deal on the Kodak Easy Share printer, once we bought the printer we bought the Kodak Easy Share to go with it. After we got this camera, I loved using it.
I do have a dream camera, a Canon SLR camera they are very expensive especially the new ones but this would be similar to the Pentax I cherished so much. Of course, I don’t see myself turning pro but it is an interest I would like to develop more. I do read some stuff on the web about technique and I enjoy looking at photographs. Maybe if this writing things doesn’t pan out, I will be a photographer instead.
Have a picture perfect day.

I snapped this picture one night right after sunshine went to sleep. If she knew about this she would have a cow. We have a toy box in the den filled with nothing but stuffed animals. For some reason Sparky loves this pink bunny. This bunny can be anywhere and he would follow it. I think he looks absolutely sweet in this picture. Of course when he wakes, he wreaks havoc on the place but jumping on furniture batting sunshine’s toys all round just going plan insane.
Just thought you might like the picture!

Hello all, I wanted to share some pictures that I took with my Kodak 3 mega pixel digital camera. I wish I had a Canon Rebel SLR because Canon is a good name and I loved using my old SLR camera. I was resistant to using digital cameras because I loved the film but after using them for some time, I really started enjoying taking pictures with them. I love my nature pictures.
Another thing that is pretty cool are the digital picture frames. You know the ones where several pictures rotate through, providing a new picture every few minutes. You can buy them pretty inexpensively and it would make a great gift just by taking some candid photos of loved ones and load them into the frame. It really would be the gift that keeps on giving. But I know y
ou are all anxious to see my pictures.
The date and time are wrong, I messed with the camera so ignored that. These were taken a few weeks ago at the local State Park. Here is a picture right near the swamp section of the bog. I thought the weird and mangled tree stumps were very interesting so I snapped the picture. I think this turned out to be a nice picture.
You can tell it is definitely fall in this picture. I am standing next to the bog but I am looking up the hill and I took the picture. Believe it or not, I think I took 4 or 5 of the same shot but this is the nicest one especially with the clouds and the variations of color against a clear blue sky.
I can not wait until winter. I haven’t used the digital camera yet for winter shots. It is lightly snowing now so who knows, maybe some beautiful winter pictures are on the horizon.
Have a photographic day!

I thought I would share some more pictures of our trip to Maine in 2002.
This is a picture at Acadia National Park. This place is really awesome with jagged cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. You can see the evergreens break up the rocky cliff and the thick forest. This park inspired the setting of Seaspring Briar and being Halloween not a bad day t read a scary story, don’t you think?
Here is another picture of the lobstering boats on the drive up the mountain to Acadia National park. Also, inspired some setting for Seaspring Briar where as the male character lived at a place such as this. What is nice about actually showing some photographs of Maine, and the story takes place in Maine, you would be able to see the setting so much better and really visualize it better. I know that is my job but people are visual. Photos always good inspiration anyway.
That could be I take a lot of picture of scenery, never know when a story will pop up and I will some visual enhancers.
Have a nice night.

Hello all I thought I would share some pictures from New York City. These pictures were taken some time between 98-99. I really can’t remember I think it is old age setting in. Any way I am standing atop the Empire State Building( which by the way I did not enjoy the elevator rise up there). Here is a little pigeon. I like pigeons. I may not like birds but I like pigeons. In fact everywhere I go I take pictures of pigeons. I thought this little fella was posing for me anyhow. Isn’t he cute?

So here is another one from the top of the Empire State Building. I don’t know what we are looking at but I know it is not Central park. We would need to find New Yorker to tell us for sure. There is something really special about standing on top of a skyscraper and looking at the world around you. It is really beautiful. It does take your breath away of course that could be the high altitude.
I love New York City, I have been there many times especially when I lived only about 2 hours away. I wanted to live there but that was only a dream.

In 2002 my brother graduated from high school. He lived in Eastport, Maine. Well this is after the graduation and the boyfriend and I decided to drive to Acadia National Park. It is the park where when the ocen comes in it sounds like thunder. This was a picutre I took while we were driving up the windy road to the park. Everything you could think about Maine is encapsulated in this picture. Nothing like boats in the morning fog.

This was taken right in Eastport, Maine at one of the docks. Both these pictures were taken with 35 mm 400 speed film. I just think this one is very impressive because the picture is vivid and there are different shades of blue. The town itself is much like a small oceanside town on the coast of Maine. In the northern part of Maine there is rocks instead of a beach.

I love taking photos, I always have since I had my 110. Yes, I had a 110 but cameras have evolved. I have had regular 35 mm and I used to have a Pentax K1000 SLR camera which I loved so much. I would love to have the Canon Rebel SLR 10 mega pixel camera. Can you imagine the pictures? I could take rock pictures where you can see the texture of the rock.
Currently I am using a Kodak easy share 3 mega pixel camera. It may not be an SLR but it really takes some nice photographs. I love taking nature photos, ask anyone that knows me about my obsession with rocks and birds, they ca
n tell you.
This is one picture that I took at Sea Side Heights, NJ when we took my daughter to the beach for the first time. What is nice about this photo is that you can actually see that gradation’s of blue. I like this picture so
much, I am currently using it as my wall paper.
This one I took the other day when we went to the park near my house. The sky was a translucent blue and the whole scene looked alive. Of course, the water is not that blue but it was very clear that day.
If you need scrapbook page ideas use photos. You can use some landscapes or shots of people. A little tip I learned along the way is since you can a lot of pictures with a digital camera take as many of the same thing because out of 30 pictures you will find that gem. When it comes to people, you don’t have to stick with the rigid portrait style, you can try letting your subject be your subject. Have you ever noticed the best family photos are the ones that are taken when the person doesn’t know his picture is being taken.
With digital cameras now a days it makes it so easy to capture every moment of life. I think digital cameras are one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century because it can really preserve a whole generation from birth to old age.
