So you are going on vacation to some distant perhaps exotic place, have you gotten your car rental reservations yet? If not check out advantage.com especially if you will be visiting Texas, or Arizona. They are offering up to 50% discount on rentals of luxury or convertible cars. Now think if you are going to a class reunion and pulling up in a convertible, that might be some sweet revenge.

Advantage has an user friendly website where you punch in where you will pick up the car, at what dates and where you will drop off the car. Hey they have a car rental franchise opening in Pittsburgh, pretty convienent if your are flying to come to school at Penn State. There are cars for rent starting at $20.99 a day.

Check them should you need a rental.

The first experience I had with a digital camera was my uncle’s. It was a rather large compared to today’s cameras. But it was a lot of fun to take pictures and see them right away. I was honored when I got to use his cameras to take pictures of his wedding. I really tried to get a picture of every person in attendance. At that time, I still preferred film cameras. This is the same uncle who gave me his old Pentax K1000, a camera I loved very much. I had all these plans of learning nature and space photography.

Years later the boyfriend really wanted a camera. But we had to buy something with a parallel port because his computer was a little older and didn’t have USB. I found one at Kmart for cheap. It was a compact digital camera. It was okay , there was no flash so the best pictures were taken outdoors in sunlight. It also held only 11 pictures and there wasn’t a slot for flash memory. We took it to Maine and took some nice pictures but I still used film. When Sunshine was born, we found an incredible deal on the Kodak Easy Share printer, once we bought the printer we bought the Kodak Easy Share to go with it. After we got this camera, I loved using it.

I do have a dream camera, a Canon SLR camera they are very expensive especially the new ones but this would be similar to the Pentax I cherished so much. Of course, I don’t see myself turning pro but it is an interest I would like to develop more. I do read some stuff on the web about technique and I enjoy looking at photographs. Maybe if this writing things doesn’t pan out, I will be a photographer instead.

Have a picture perfect day.

With GPS tracking readily available to anyone at an affordable price, people are using them for any reason to know where you are. Such as employers, spouses, parents and law enforcement use these to keep track of vehicles and persons. I think there are some instances GPS is a good thing and other times it in an invasion of privacy.

Pedophiles once they are caught should be monitored at all times with GPS tracking. I don’t believe they can ever be reformed. If they did it once more than likely they will do it again. Sure there is Megan’s Law and most states have a Megan’s Law website where people can find out if any pedophile is living near. That doesn’t stop the pedophile from hanging out at the local park, looking for kids, gaining their trust. They are not supposed to be there anyway but they don’t care. Law enforcement already uses GPS to track persons under house arrest. Company vehicles that are driven on company time. There is logic behind this because the company is responsible for you and the car if something happens to either one, they would want to know exactly where you were.

GPS tracking on employees is a invasion of privacy. If the employee gets the job done and does it well, it shouldn’t matter what they are doing in their off time. In my opinion monitoring people, unless they are criminals is a lack of trust. Sure if you are a parent knowing where you child is at every moment might be reassuring but if you taught your child and trust your child then you should trust the child. Same with an alleged cheating spouse, if you believe your spouse is cheating but you don’t know with whom track them only to find out nothing.

Using GPS shatters the trust between people. When trust is broken because of suspicion where does that leave us?

Hello all, I first want to apologize for the missing zest in my writing lately. There is a lot of things on my mind, things that I have no control over and that is taking a huge toll on me. I know I haven’t written anything too creative lately, and Firefly is almost 3 weeks behind. Of course, these things is affecting a lot of the mundane things as well. This will pass in time, hopefully sooner than later.

I have managed to write 2 poems. One I will post later on and the other I will post as soon as I get permission for an image. Be sure to look for that sometime soon.

Only 3 people sent in a line for Exquisite Corpse I really would like to make this successful remember I dropped the linking requirement so all you have to do is send in your line and I will post this Friday. The theme is heat and the line rule is adjective, noun, noun, verb. All this will change this Friday and there will be a new theme and line rule.

Have a nice night.
