Before I am Famous

I decided on reading that poetry book called American Contemporary Poets well it is not contemporary to me as this is a collection from  the  mid 50′- 60’s. Some poets  include Allen Ginsberg, Sylvia Plath, and Ann Sexton to name a few that some others might have heard of. I love Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac.  But in this book,  I can’t find too much that    I really like. There is a poem here and a poem there that I like. Maybe I don’t give  the  poem a chance because  i read the first few lines and I already know I don’t like it.

I guess I am looking for poets  contemporary to me. I sometimes, I  daydream about maybe the president will ask me to write and read a poem at the inauguration like Maya Angelou.  I still remember watching Clinton’s inauguration and listening to Maya Angelou read her poem, she exhibited  so much passion.  I don’t remember what the poem was called but I remember the emotion.  Yeah, I would really love to do that.

Just remember that  Mc Cain or Obama  I am available for the inauguration January 2009.

I have always been a tent kind of girl but campers are pretty nice as well, especially when it rains or if you are at a place that really isn’t conducive for tenting.

My parents owned a campground spot in Virginia and bought a camper for that. It was a prowler. If anyone has been to Virginia, you know the mosquitos will devour you. The first time we went camping with a tent the damn bugs came in the screen and ate us.

We (the boyfriend and I) don’t have an rv but we would like to get a pop up because of their ease on setting up and they are very light to tow. RVs For Sale is a website that can help you and me look for a new or used rv. Punch in the requirements on the search page such as new or used, price, make and model, year and etc. This is a nationwide search. I found one for sale in Ohio, that is the closest I found so far.

I wonder sometimes if writing fiction is what I should focus on? Maybe I should write more plays. I wrote an one act play once when I was in college and I actually produced it for the talent show the campus held every year. It was recieved fairly well. My longer fiction is riddled with a lot of dialouge and sometimes when I type out Firefly there is so much dialog it almost reads like a play.

Poetry, for the most part is recieved very well on the web. I get more comments on the poems I write as opposed to the stories I write. I spend a lot of time promoting and working on my stories, could this be the wrong path for my writing talents? Here I am starting a business about poetry. I have been writing poetry for a long time.

Perhaps I should spend a little more time trying to get a poem published or write a long play. I don’t know what do you think?

I got the new printer at the end of December and I still have yet to buy more ink for it. What does that mean? One thing could be the HP ink s great that I can print a lot before buying new ink or I am not printing enough out as far as stories as such and so I am not using it like I should. Call it procrastination or whatever. If I really wanted to be a published writer, I would print more stories out and have a need a for a company like inkers.biz

Well maybe not in  the  mailbox  but on the porch.   I got  a little  box from Izea for the fourth of  July.  I was  surprised  because  I don’t  normally  get packages in  the mail unless I am buying  something.  Sunshine liked to play  with some of the stuff I got.  I  also got barbecue  sauce. I  really wanted to douse my hot dogs with it  earlier but  I think I will buy a hunk of meat  and make something in the crock pot. It was  really nice of them o  send me that,  it made me feel like  they appreciate me and that  means a lot to me.

I read on their blog, that they  are nearing their 2 year anniversary. I thought they were around longer. The  end of July  I would be with them for a whole year.

This is for you guys and gals  at Izea… Thanks!!! It really  meant a lot to  me!!

Okay so it is almost July but that means about 2 months before school starts again. Plenty of time to go on vacation, even if it isn’t that far away. I don’t know what it is but I love going to hotels even if it is for a night. I always thought it was a treat when my family and I stayed in a motel. Using the internet can help you find the best hotel deals for the city you are visiting for the time that you will be there.

I love reading all the entries. I am glad others thougt that my experimental poem was good enough to be voted. They were all really good entries. Check out Ken Armstrong’s post, I almost pissed myself laughing so hard. He was a choice for the Arte Y Pico award but the same day I went to grab is web adress from entrecard happened to be the same day he won it as well. Miss Write always has something informative that any writer can learn from, whether you are a blogger only a blogger writer person.
